Property may be our speciality but what we arereally good at is helping you. Receiving a kind “thank you” after helping someone to rent for the very first time, or watching the look on someone’s face as they step into their perfect home is a rewarding feeling you simply cannot beat.
But where did it all begin?
Founded in 2007 as Parker Baker Properties Limited, we started out purely as a letting agency. But the time soon came for expansion so we bought out Simpson Evans’ lettings department and took over the office in Walter Road, Swansea. From there we covered all of Swansea County, as well as the nearby Neath and Port Talbot areas up as far asYstradgynlais.
Business was good, but as more and more people came to us for help we needed further expansion. In October 2008, we bought out Ashley Jones & Partners lettings department and merged their Swansea office - including a number of their staff - with our Walter Road office.
More customers to help meant that we needed a larger office, so in 2012 we moved from our Walter Road branch to Sketty. A year later we decided it was time to widen our catchment area to help customers based in Llanelli. It meant working even harder and a lot of overtime - but we are willing to put in the extra work if it means helping you. The property market never sleeps, so we take every opportunity we can to meet your property needs.
With nearly all our property enquiries being made online or over the phone, we don't have a need for an expensive office so we started operate from an office space in Gorseinon wherewe could easily meet the needs of our clients with easy access to Swansea city centre, Gower, the M4, Llanelli, all of our client base is reachable within 20-30 minutes.
We continued to push business forward in 2014 by undergoing a rebrand. Our name changed slightly but you can rest assured that the same personable and efficient service remains. It has and always will be the lifeblood of our business.
As part of the rebranding process our website underwent a massive redevelopment. Whether you are a landlord or a tenant, looking to let your home or rent a room, involved in commercial or residential property – you now have access to heaps of useful and valuable information.
What’s more, our website allows you to find your ideal home or perfect tenant all at the click of a button. That’s not to say you can no longer pop into our office, in fact we enjoy getting to know you and building a face-to-face relationship. But as the world becomes more and more digital we’ve invested in providing you with an online service that is even quicker than before.
In 2020 due to the effects of Covid-19, we decided to return to our roots and re-focus our efforts solely on the lettings market.This meant another minor change to our name and branding, but the same personable and efficient service remains, with a few new technology investments to make us even more efficient moving forward.
In 2022, our base office moved from Gorseinon in to the Morriston area where we can still easily reach all our client base within 20-30 minutes.
What does the future hold?
We are constantly looking into new ways to make our service even more efficient, so plans for more development in 2022 are already underway – watch this space.
